Your Feelings Are Real.
Your Emotions Are Valid.
This free worksheet helps athletes and parents identify emotions, communicate better, and build emotional resilience on and off the field.
Too Many Athletes And Parents Struggle In Silence.
The final buzzer sounds. The ride home is quiet. You both know something is wrong, but nobody says a word.
Bottling It All Up
Athletes are taught to "shake it off" and "stay tough." But unprocessed emotions don't disappear — they pile up and eventually come out in the worst moments.
Emotions Affect Performance
Anger after a bad call. Anxiety before a big game. Frustration after an error. When emotions go unaddressed, they show up in your performance whether you want them to or not.
What This Worksheet Helps You Do
Emotions are not the enemy—unmanaged responses are. This worksheet gives you a clear process to regain control.
Identify Emotions Clearly
Athletes need to identify what they feel before they can manage it.
Choose Better Responses
Athletes need tools for choosing responses that help the team, not hurt it.
Healthier Support
Parents and coaches need healthier ways to support athletes through difficult moments.

Why I Created This
I've worked with hundreds of athletes. And one thing I keep seeing is this: kids who are struggling emotionally but have no way to say it. Parents who want to help but don't know how to start the conversation. Coaches who see the frustration on the field but can't reach the player off it.
I created the Valid Emotions Worksheet because I believe that emotions are not the enemy of performance — unmanaged responses are.
"This worksheet isn't about making athletes soft. It's about making them smart enough to handle what's hard."
