    Pre-Game Routine

    Athlete Pre-Game Routine

Consistency builds confidence. A chaotic morning leads to a chaotic game. Use this checklist to create a calm, predictable environment.

    1

    The Night Before

Scrambling for gear in the morning spikes anxiety. Lay everything out.

Spend 5 minutes visualizing yourself executing your shooting form perfectly.

Protect your sleep. Turn off screens 30 minutes before bed.

    2

    The Morning Of

Don't treat today like it's the Olympics. Treat it like a normal day.

Stick to foods you know digest well. Now is not the time to try a new meal.

Don't overthink your shooting form. Trust your training.

    3

    The Car Ride There

Put on music that gets you in the right headspace.

Use 4-7-8 breathing to lower your heart rate and center yourself.

Pick one controllable thing to focus on today (e.g., "Give 100% effort").

    4

    At The Venue

Don't just go through the motions. Break a sweat and lock in mentally.

Stand tall, keep your head up. Project confidence even if you're nervous.

If you mess up in warmups, flush it. It doesn't mean anything for the game.

    Ready for the Game?

Once the checklist is complete, trust the preparation and go have fun.
